Valiant A cross between Fredonia and a wild Vitis riparia vine resulted in this recent introduction from South Dakota State University. Valiant is a very hardy dark blue table grape that ripens dependably throughout nearly the entire state. The combination of extreme hardiness and very early ripening make it a good choice for northern Minnesota. It makes very good quality juice and jelly, and has been used to mApril 13, 2008 10:47 AMmildew so must be sprayed except in isolated areas. |
